Pastor’s Desk

To the Church Family at The Light & Life Full Gospel Fellowship Landor Road  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time..  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper.

It’s amazing only the other day we were celebrating Christmas and now it’s the end of January.  In the words of Bob Gass  “Let us redeem the time, use it wisely, the things that you promised to yourself that you would do, the days of fasting that you purposed in your heart to do, the time you were always going to dedicate in prayer, studying the word, you promised to make more effort to be in church on a Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, or whenever you are needed, the  holidays you keep putting off, the further studies you promised to do, the new job you promised to look for,  the good you would find in others, you promised to laugh more (you use less face muscle and its good for you health)  that lovely bedspread you bought years ago and never use, those lovely cut decanters and glasses, dinner sets, cutlery sets take them out and use them, cook that special meal, throw a party for yourself.  Enjoy abundant life.”

Beloved brethren and  Friends as your Pastor I want you to know that you are very special.  God has brought us from a mighty long way, we’ve been knocked down but not knocked out, and we are still standing.  I implore you brethren let us work together for the glory of God.  Remember the many words of prophecies that God has given us and confirmed time and time again.  When Nehemiah rebuild the wall the people had a mind to work, their enemies were laughing at them saying that they could not complete the work but they stayed on the wall and finished the work, because they were united.  The Christian struggle in life is against spiritual powers under the control of Satan. We do not fight each other, we stand together.  To fail to identify the enemy is to fail to defeat him.  It takes spiritual defences to defeat a spiritual enemy. Together we are stronger.

Our heart felt prayers are with our Brothers and Sisters whose loved ones has passed away during the month of January.  We pray that God will give you the strength you need to move forward.

My beloved brethren and friends thank you for your continued support.  “Let us go up together”   The Lord bless you and keep you the Lord cause his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you, the Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you and give you peace. I pray that the Month of February will be a time of peace and victory.

Love you

Senior Pastor Herma J. Buttler
